For decades, Alamo Candy Co. has been delighting customers throughout the San Antonio, TX community. Our family-owned operation opened doors for business in 1991, and we haven’t looked back since! After six years at our original space, we moved to a larger location at 2738 Blanco, where we continue to produce and package the candies, snacks and syrups that South and Central Texans love.

Felix and Juanita Samame, our founders and owners, seem to have new recipe ideas every day. We’re always testing new concoctions in our production kitchens, attempting to pin down the next great taste. Our team feels that every idea is worth trying!

We’re open to the public, which guarantees that our products are available to all – moms, dads, kids and vendors. Our staff is always amazed at the number of requests we receive from candy connoisseurs nationwide looking to get their fix. Many friends and clients purchase our products to include within care packages for American troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and many places around the globe. Imagine our pride when we hear about this kind of outreach!
Felix and Juanita have three children who take after their parents. Patty, Rick and Willie work long days to keep the business running smoothly. Our production staff keeps shelves stocked and orders filled, while our in-store personnel assist customers with all their candy-based concerns. We offer Mexican candies, American candies, and Chinese candies, as well as Picositas, Chamoy pickles, and a wide assortment of old fashioned candies. Shoppers entering the store for the first time are always amazed at the variety of items we carry!
